Summary: Perfectly sized cottages with fully stocked kitchen, v comfortable bed, and surprisingly well sized and modern bathroom made our stay super enjoyable. Then there was the long vista out the large wall window, which included several new foals learning to play and prance about. We had two nit problems that were resolved cleanly and without any time encumbrance on us. Location was super quiet for great sleep, and only 5-7 minutes from the ring road so we could get where we needed to. Would highly recommend.

Summary: Lovely cottage, well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. View was nice and peacfull looking out to the horses. Exactly as it looks in the photos.

Summary: A spectacular accommodation in an enchanting setting, thoroughly enjoyed and can’t wait to return. We arrived during a particularly bad winter storm and appreciated all the amenities, special attention to detail, and kindness of our hosts who were very attentive to our demands.

Summary: An exceptional stay in South Iceland! The surrounding landscapes are beautiful, and even better if you’re lucky enough to have the horses come nearby. The hosts are wonderfully accommodating, and there’s a rare opportunity to visit the stables and watch the horses being trained up close. The cottages themselves strike a perfect balance between charm and practicality. They are thoughtfully designed without sacrificing a single comfort. And to top it all off, perfect location to watch the northern lights!

Summary: Askot Cottage was amazing! We definitely wished we had stayed more than one night. Directions were clear, property was well illuminated, and entry was easy. I appreciated the fact that each cottage has its own EV charger and washer/dryer combo. We also had a great view of the northern lights during our stay!

Summary: Extremely easy check in, the cottage was clean and comfortable and well appointed, we had everything we needed. The futon was very comfortable and unwinding with coffee in the swing was perfection. Wish we would have stayed more nights. Added bonuses: their on-site shop was a life saver for snacks and drinks!!! And they have a place for recycling and trash which is kind of hard to come by. The horses are snuggly and wonderful, sunrise views and aurora views are epic. Best place we stayed in Iceland!!!

Summary: Beautiful, comfortable, contemporary cottage in a beautiful setting. Appreciated the laundry and other amenities. My only regret is that we were too tired to meet the owners and tour their horse farm.
